Originally from Sheffield, Roger Mann has spent his working life in the design profession as an art director, designer, illustrator and photographer working in the UK and Europe. The work you see here is a distillation of over forty years of exposure to visual and creative stimuli. Influences from many generations make their presence felt in his work whilst at the business end the latest digital equipment is matched by industry standard software.
No one genre is completely ringfenced and many have their roots is painting and drawing. Influences from works by the great masters can be seen constantly in that presented by photographers, fine art nude being the obvious one. Erotic beauty is inspired by the masters of this craft who introduced it to the fashion mainstream many years ago.
His commercial work strives to be outside the box using light and inspiration to go that extra mile. |
